Established in 1971, AWIS is dedicated to achieving equity and full participation for women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Serving as a voice for women in science, AWIS helps shape national policy through litigation, advocacy, conferences and special programs.

The Sacramento Valley Chapter of AWIS is dedicated to the growth of science and technology unique to the Sacramento Valley region.  Its members represent all levels and fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) including educational institutions, industry, government, and students. 

Meetings are held at various locations in the Sacramento, Davis and Vacaville areas. All are welcome to attend! Meeting dates and times are subject to change. Please check back periodically.

June 19, 2007at 6pm - End of the Year Meeting and Mixer- at this meeting we will elect new board members and plan activities for next year AND award our 2007-08 scholarships!!! Location to be announced.
