instructor and a one page description of your interests and

Student Scholarship Awards

 

The Association for Women in Science (AWIS) is dedicated to achieving equality and full participation for women in science, mathematics, engineering and technology. Our mission is to promote the entrance and advancement of women is science and to foster the careers of women science professionals.

The Sacramento Valley AWIS Scholarship, provides funds to students planning to transfer from a community college to a natural science, health, technology, engineering or mathematics program at any four-year institution.

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded, which may be used to pay for fees, purchase books, computers or other school-related items.

The Sacramento Valley AWIS Scholarship is open to women students who have applied to or been accepted into a natural science, health, technology, engineering or mathematics program at any four-year institution for the 2007-2008 school year.

Each applicant must be currently enrolled in a community college located in the Sacramento Valley. The applicant must also submit a completed application by the deadline: 5:00 p.m., March 30, 2007.
