Congratulations to the 2004-2005

Scholarship Award Recipients!

  • Ursula E Leyva Castro: Chemistry/Pre-medical major, transferring to the Pre-medicine program at the University of California, Davis

  • Sarah E. Martin: Biochemistry major, transferring to the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology program at the University of California, Davis

  • Jennapher L. Miller:  Wildlife, Fisheries and Conservation Biology major, transferring to the WF&C Biology program at the University of California, Davis

  • Mao Vang: Architecture major, transferring to the Architecture program at the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo

It was a pleasure to meet the award recipients and their friends and family members.  This year's recipients are all very dedicated women, working hard to reach their goals.  We are very proud of their achievements thus far and look forward to their accomplishments tomorrow!  Congratulations again!

We would like to thank Micheal Costello, owner of Brew It Up! Personal Brewery and Grill!  for hosting our event. The room that we reserved was decorated very tastefully with linens and a delicate centerpiece.  The food was incredibly delicious and the service was outstanding.  Please be sure to say thanks the next time you visit their establishment!

Our guest speaker, Elissa Lynn, Chief Meteorologist from News10, shared some of her experiences with us, with much humor.  She was a delightful speaker and we were all very pleased that she was able to make the time to join us on this special occasion!

Thank you to everyone that made this a special occasion for the award recipients and svAWIS members, as well.
